Both Cicely Tyson and Glynn Turman have been nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards, for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series and Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series, respectively.

Viola Davis Nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the Fourth Time

Viola Davis has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the fourth time. She took home the price for her performance as Annalise Keating in How to Get Away With Murder's rookie season back in 2015. She didn't get a nomination for her performance in season 4, but apparently she was able to get Emmy voters on her side again in season 5.
The ceremony takes place on September 22, 2019.

Season 6 Announced as the Show's Final Season

How to Get Away With Murder's upcoming sixth season will also be the show's last.
Series creator Pete Nowalk just shared the news on his Instagram account. According to his post, the show will wrap its run with another 15 episodes. ABC also released a short teaser, promising the fans of the show a "killer final season."

Deciding to end this series was a brutal decision, but ultimately the story tells you what to do – as it did here. For me, Annalise Keating's journey has always had a clear ending. Knowing I have 15 episodes left to finish her story, and the chance to give all the characters their own killer endings, is a gift rarely given to a network series creator. I’m grateful to ABC for the opportunity and creative freedom. I am also beyond thankful to the brilliant cast, writers, and crew for dedicating themselves to this show for the last six years. Season 6 Premiere Date Announced

How to Get Away With Murder kicks off its sixth season on Thursday, September 26, 2019, @ 10/9c on ABC! Its lead ins will be the sixteenth season premiere of veteran drama Grey's Anatomy, followed by the sophomore premiere of A Million Little Things.
