Viola Davis Nominated for a Critics' Choice Television Award

Like last year, Viola Davis has just been nominated for a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series. She lost the trophy to her colleague and friend Taraji P. Henson, who was nominated and won for her performance in FOX' Empire. Nevertheless, our leading lady has been considered again.

She competes against Taraji P. Henson (Empire), Carrie Coon (The Leftovers), Shiri Appleby (UnREAL), Eva Green (Penny Dreadful), and Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones).

Congratulations! If Viola Davis takes the trophy home, will remain a mystery until next year.

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER:
THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON

Own TV's Hottest New Drama on DVD August 4th

Dangerous. Mesmerizing. That's the final verdict on ABC's How To Get Away With Murder, the sexy ensemble drama where brilliant and seductive Annalise Keating (Viola Davis - Screen Actors Guild Awards Winner for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in Drama Series for How To Get Away With Murder) dominates her classroom as powerfully as she dominates the courtroom. Each year, she chooses several top law students to assist with her high-profile, albeit morally ambiguous, court cases.

But the lines between defending and committing murder soon begin to blur when Annalise and her students become intimately involved in a sordid homicide that could destroy them all. Ride this raw, intense rollercoaster with all 15 episodes. Plus, experience exclusive, never-before-seen bonus features available only on DVD. How To Get Away With Murder: The Complete First Season - from its first frame to its last - this new national obsession exhibits "intent to thrill" in the first degree.

In this piece we take a closer look at the show and its fast paced, time shifting style. We will meet the Keating 5 as well as Annalise and her associates to learn about how the cast is enjoying their success and getting used to a fast paced smart show.
  • "BYE FELICIA" MUSIC VIDEO It's Asher's last day of college, he's been accepted to the ultra prestigious Middleton Law School and to make things even more dope, his dad has just sent him a big fat congratulation check. His investments are already on point, so this is just fun money. He's about to send off his Frat brothers with the freshest party his Ivy League campus has ever seen. We're going to follow him from the time he wakes up and counts his blessings, through pre-gaming, getting turnt up and throwing down until the break of dawn yo. At least that's Asher's plan. In reality we'll see a guy flexing pretty hard to look a lot more baller than he actually is. Still he'll almost pull it off. And that's the joy of it.

Season 2 Information + Season Press Release

ABC's upfronts took place on May 12, 2015. Apart from announcing their renewed and canceled shows, they also  presented their schedule for Fall 2015.

"How to Get Away With Murder" is slated to premiere its second season in September. The exact air date still has to be decided. The second season will encompass 15 episodes (just like the first season). The show remains in its timeslot, on Thursdays, @ 10/9c, still being part of the #TGIT line-up (consisting of "Grey's Anatomy", "Scandal", and the show itself).

All series stars that have starred as series regulars during the first season are set to reprise their roles. Only Katie Findlay aka Rebecca Sutter will not return, for obvious reasons.

Read the official season press release below (only if you have already watched the season 1 finale!):

They say the first year of law school is the hardest. After taking Professor Annalise Keating’s (Viola Davis) class at Middleton University in “How to Get Away with Murder,” the Keating 5 were pushed to their limits as their values, convictions, dreams and even truths about themselves were revealed to be as dark as the law and justice system they’re trying to learn. Following the aftermath of the murder mystery cover up that Wes Gibbins, Connor Walsh, Michaela Pratt and Laurel Castillo were involved in, they each fear the worst when Rebecca Sutter escapes from under their watch. Unbeknownst to them, she is found dead by Annalise and her trusted associate Frank Delfino, creating an entirely new murder and undoubtedly, a new web of lies and suspects.
