"How to Get Away With Murder" Receives Several Award Nominations

"How to Get Away With Murder" has reveived several award nominations for important award ceremonies such as the Golden Globe Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the NAACP Image Awards, with series stars Viola Davis, Alfred Enoch and Aja Naomi King having reveived nominations for acting. Some nominations are for the show itself or also for writing. Furthermore, the show was honored with the AFI Award for "Televison Program of the Year". Other nominations which have been announced a few months ago encompass the People's Choice Awards. Check out the list below to get a whole overview:

Mid-Season 1 Premiere and Season 1 Finale Dates Announced

"How to Get Away With Murder" concluded its first nine-episode run last night with an epic, jaw-dropping and outstanding mid-season finale (1x09 "Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me"). Unfortunately, that means we won't get to see any new episodes until 2015.

The mid-season premiere of the show is scheduled for January 29, 2015, in its regular timeslot, meaning that the winter break is going to last for roughly two months. The show will then, beginning with episode 1x10 (title TBA), run straight through five weeks, ending on February 26, 2015 with a two-hour season finale. I personally assume that "How to Get Away With Murder" will take over "Scandal"'s timeslot for that special occasion. 

The ratings basically imply a second season renewal of the show, but we will know probably earliest sometime around March (May is possible as well, as ABC has announced its renewals in May for the recent years). The new ABC drama "American Crime" is going to substitute "How to Get Away With Murder" in the week following the latter's season finale.

Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden is set to recur in a mayor arc in the second half of "How to Get Away With Murder"'s first season. No further details have been published, but the character is expected to appear first when the show returns in 2015 for the remaining six episodes of season 1.

"How to Get Away With Murder" Gets Full Season Order

"How to Get Away With Murder" has just received a full season order by ABC, meaning that the first season will consist of a total of 15 episodes. These are just two more than the original order, but it was announced earlier this year that the show will kind of function as a limited series with only 15-16 episodes per year. Anyway, fans can be thrilled to get more episodes of television's #1 new show.
