For the fourth consecutive year, Viola Davis has managed to be recognized by the Primetime Emmy Awards. She won the trophy once in 2015 for her performance as Annalise Keating on the rookie season of How to Get Away With Murder in the category Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. However, this year, she was left out of this category, but has been nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Annalise Keating in the crossover episode with Scandal.
