Lauren Vélez to Recur

American actress Lauren Vélez (Dexter, OZ, Ugly Betty) is joining How to Get Away With Murder's third season for a major recurring arc. She will play the President of Middleton University, the institution employing Annalise Keating (Viola Davis). It is unknown for now when exactly the character will make its screen debut.

Viola Davis Nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for the Second Time in a Row

Viola Davis has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the second time in a row. She was able to take the prize home last year.
The ceremony takes place on September 18, 2016.

Thus it stays a part of the TGIT line-up, consisting of Grey's Anatomy and Notorious. Scandal is being held for mid-season this time to compensate for Kerry Washington's pregnancy.
